SO-FISHTICATED

Ok for my TAFE course we are doing a project that has us pair off into groups of 3 or more, my group has 3 in it including me. We then come together to create products we can sell at a market that the TAFE runs, all of us must contribute either physical things like drawings for concepts or design ideas etc based on the skills we each carry.

Within my group I am tasked with sketching up the ideas and providing I guess a face style, one of us is more design savvy and she works on manipulating and tweaking what I give her, for every drawing I do I give copies of the blank lines to each of the other members to mess with and change as they wish, our last member has a good sense for concepts and ideas which he feeds to me. It works in a cycle of me being given ideas, me putting the ideas into a form and then those images being refined and re-worked.

Our group has decided on the name So-Fishticated because we created a group of sophisticated fish, our product will be targeting children first and the parents second as well as the crowd who are like us big kids. Inspiration for this did come from a mix of retro cartoons and Spongebob. We have a total of 5 characters they are Addlebert the angler fish, Cornelius-Craig the crab, Sir Squiggles Sinclair the Squid, Adorabella the angel fish and Blobby the blob fish who acts as a sort of pet to the others. They are all anthropomorphic well Blobby not so much.

I am going to post up some stuff we have on our mood wall of ideas and I would love some feed back on any or all of it. We plan on creating T-shirts, badges, magnets, small felt toys and canvas bags but we are open to suggestions as long as they are within reason.
